DC firehouses staff anywhere from 6-15 members per shift (4 shifts), cook large meals and share pots, pans, plates, and utensils across every shift. Most often, the cooking equipment consists of old items that various members have brought from home, which have worn with continued, high volume use.

To support firefighters cooking and eating healthily, On Christmas Day, Food on the Stove was blessed with another opportunity to serve those who serve us.  We gifted brand new All-Clad cookware to Engine 8 in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Washington DC.
