Food on the Stove addresses healthy lifestyle management from a holistic perspective, with a focus on dietary nutrition and cardiovascular exercise. We are uniquely qualified to execute our mission as a firefighter-operated organization. Based on our first-hand knowledge of the specific health challenges that firefighters confront, we have made a commitment to:

  • Supplement the cost of firehouse meals by partnering with local farms, local vendors, small grocery markets or grocery delivery services
  • Provide heart-healthy cooking demonstrations to firehouses to offer more education about nutrition and portion control
  • Host fitness activities and health screenings to encourage wellness lifestyle integration
